Curcumin administration  also alleviates the pathological changes in asthma and decreases the fungal activity. This finding further strengthened curcumin’s potential in asthma treatment and decreases the frequency of Oropharyngeal Candidiasis  (Karaman et al., 2011). Curcumin attenuates the development of chronic airway inflammation and hyper-responsiveness, possibly through inhibition of NF-kB activation in the asthmatic lung tissue (Oh et al., 2011).
